Balance ~ Attunement ~ Harmony
Hair Syntony, also known as Hair Balancing, is a holistic healing art that balances your hair by cutting with the principles of Sacred Geometry. This process results in more life force moving through your head and hair, enhancing health, vibrancy and beauty. Hair Balancing is based on four healing modalities: Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Energy Field and Chakra Balancing and Transcendental/Sacred Geometry.
Hair conducts life force and is an integral part of your whole being. The cutting technique affects how energy moves through your body and how you feel. A haircut can actually short circuit the flow of energy as it travels through the head and hair. When hair is 'balanced' the energy flow is enhanced and the head and scalp are both stimulated yet more relaxed. A relaxed scalp allows the follicles to plump out and nurture healthy hair growth. This effect on the scalp often arrests or reduces hair loss.
It may surprise you to know that one function of hair is like antennae. It has the ability to receive information. When your hair is out of balance it is like having a faulty receiver. Your hair can also transmit impressions about you before you are close enough to make eye contact or shake hands. Hair that is balanced, helps to create the external expression of your inner essence.
You may be one of the people dating back to Samson, who feel stronger and more confident with an excellent haircut. Psychiatrists call this powerful influence the "Rapunzel Syndrome". The effects can be positive or negative depending on how the cut is done.
With Hair Balancing you decide what length and style you want your hair to be. In a safe, supportive atmosphere, you and the practitioner carefully communicate to meet your needs. The cutting is focused, meticulous and open to your input at every step of the process. This method works equally well for both women and men.
What Does Syntony mean?
Syntony, which rhymes with symphony, is from the Greek word, syntonos, which means in balance, attuned, and in harmony.
When most conventional hairdressers say that hair is 'balanced', they are usually referring to the left and right sides being symmetrical.
Hair Syntony is of course symmetrical - but so much more.
